1.4 All reasonable measures are taken by us to ensure that this website is operational all day, every day. However, occasionally technical issues may result in some downtime and accordingly we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.

1.5 Where possible we always try to give advance warning of maintenance issues that may result in website down time but we shall not be obliged to provide such notice.

Shipping

1.16 Your order will be processed and delivered without undue delay, no later than 30 days after your order has been placed.

1.17 Please allow for up to 7 working days for delivery following the dispatch of your order.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

1.18 All customers have the right to cancel their order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations.

1.19 Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

1.20 To meet the cancellation deadline, please notify us via email or phone about cancelling the order before the cancellation period has expired.

1.21 If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must send the goods back to us to our contact address at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the order.

1.22 We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense.

1.23 Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the order, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 14 days of your cancellation.

1.24 You will not have any right to cancel an order for the supply of any of the following goods:

(a) medicinal products or services that are either dispensed on prescription or are available free under an NHS arrangement.

(b) a contract for passenger transport services - such as bus, rail or flight tickets.

(c) the supply of goods or services where prices are dependent upon fluctuations in the financial markets, which are beyond the control of the retailer.

(d) the supply of goods that are made to the customer's specification or are clearly personalised.

(e) the supply of goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly - such as a delivery of fresh flowers or meat.

(f) the supply of newspapers, periodicals or magazines.

(g) the supply of accommodation, transport of goods, vehicle rental services, catering or services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance - for example, hotel bookings, courier services, car hire, restaurant bookings and theatre tickets for specific dates.

1.25 In addition you will lose your right to cancel if you:

(a) unseal goods that are not suitable for return if they are unsealed, due to health protection or hygiene reasons.

(b) unseal audio, video recordings or computer software that were sealed at the time of delivery.

(c) combine goods with other goods after delivery so that they become inseparable.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

Stock Availability

Unlike many competitors, we pride ourselves in maintaining high stocking levels for all products, on the rare occasion that an item should be out of stock this should only be for a few days unless stated otherwise.

Should an item be out of stock, we would contact you via phone or e-mail.

Telephone Orders

If you need assistance please phone 01276 38795. This service is available during office hours Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm. Please note the office is closed on all UK Public Holidays.

Our delivery methods allow full trace of your shipment from dispatch until delivered and signed for by you. Whatever method we use will always require a signature on arrival. Our charges to you cover all postage packing and insurance up to the value of the goods you are buying.

Cancellation of Orders

Your rights to cancel

You have the right to cancel an order but we will not refund the packing and postage charges if the goods have already been processed for shipping. Please refer to our Returns policy below.

Because of the nature of our operation and the volume of emails we receive, we recommend that instructions for cancellation are made by email or telephone on 01276 38795 as early in the day as possible.

All instructions to cancel must be clear and quote the acknowledgement number on the email you have received at the time you placed your order.

Order Cancellation: Post-Shipment

You may cancel your order up to 7 working days from receipt of your purchase. You will be invited to return the goods in an unopened and unused state for refund. Please see our Returns Policy for more information.

You are responsible for the safe return of the goods and all costs associated with returning your order. In the event of a refused delivery by any of our delivery carriers you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items as charged to us by our carrier which is £15.

These costs are also applied where our carrier has attempted delivery and contacted you to make arrangement for redelivery and redelivery was not possible causing the goods to be returned to us.

£15 is applied for all returned, refused or attempted delivery courier packages.

Product Images

All images that portray costumes or items are used with the permission of the Copyright holder. Party-World.co.uk make every effort to maintain clear descriptions and endeavour to use such 'up to date' images that are representative and truly reflect the item to be purchased. However Party-world.co.uk cannot be held responsible for [a] any perception you may have in product representation and [b] the manufacturer's obligation of a right to change product specification including colour or design at any time and without notice.

It is also important to note that some colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen to the product ultimately received, depending on your monitor screen resolution and colour/display settings. We are aware that our site looks different on different PC's using different browsers and having different colour and screen resolution settings.

VAT Tax Charges - General

All the prices in the store are shown inclusive and exclusive of VAT where applicable at the prevailing rates. We sell in UK Pounds Sterling (£) -

Example products where VAT is liable or exempt are:

Adult clothing: Liable.

Child Clothing: Exempt.

Accessories & Wigs Including Harry Potter™ Robes : Liable.

Postage & Shipping: Liable. HMCE dictate we have to charge VAT on Postage & Shipping in line with the VAT rate of the items being sent. Please do not confuse not having to pay VAT on postage stamps from the Post Office.

VAT is applicable to any purchase with destination address within the UK and is calculated based upon the shipping address detail.

Credit Card & Personal Data Security

No credit or debit card or similar information is held by Party World.

Rest assured we never hand your details on to anyone.

General

Prior to shipping, we reserve the right to decline, reject or similarly cancel any order or part order without notice and refund any payment in full.

Many products, especially accessories can be procured from different suppliers depending on stock availability. Please note therefore that products may come in different packaging.

All prices are correct at time of publication. Party-world.co.uk reserve the right to change, alter or amend any price at any time without notice. Should a product price decrease since an original purchase, contractually we are not obligated to refund the difference. Similarly, should an increase occur prior to purchase, we are not obligated to sell at the previous lower price.

Should a product be unavailable or out of stock, we may after prior consultation ask if a replacement product with the same or higher value be acceptable. You may agree or reject this offer. If we are unable to contact you and required within 3 days, so that we do not let you down, we may make a decision to ship the replacement item to you with a written rationale on the invoice. Should this not be acceptable upon receipt, you may return the item(s) for full refund including all postage.
